Jade Macer, 2023In the fall of 2021, Playwright E. M. Lewis and I started to write a musical together. Taking influences from modern musical theater, we found a story that could happen to anyone on an ordinary day.

When younger sibling Rowan finds out their older sibling Sandy has died in a mysterious accident, Rowan calls Sandy’s partner, best friend from high school, and college teammate up to a cabin. As they tell their stories, commemorating and commiserating, they wonder how they’ll move on, when suddenly there’s a knock at the door.
